Description
Carapace très convexe, couverte de gros tubercules perliformes ; bords antéro-latéraux avec 11-12 denticules. Doigts de la pince creusés en cuillère. Couleur brune à rosée. Daira perlata est réputé toxique.

Biotope
Vie dans les anfractuosités de la crête récifale, en région exposée à la houle. 0-10 m.

Distribution
Méditerranée et Indo pacifique. Présent en Nouvelle-Calédonie.

Description
Carapace well covered with big pearl-like tubercles; anterolateral margins with 11-12 denticles. Fingers of chelae spoon-shaped. Colour brown to pinkish. Daira perlata reported to be toxic.

Biotop
Found in crevices of reef crest, in the swell zone in depths of 0–10 m.

Distribution
Mediterranean Sea. Indo-West Pacific. Reported from New Caledonia.
